Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
Shopping list for two hungry people:
- 1 very large (white) onion, sliced in rings. I ended up only using the big rings, because who needs small onion rings in their life?!
- ±2 cups of sunflower oil to fry them in (more if you're using a large pan)
- 1 cup (±250 ml) buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup (±60 ml) sunflower oil
- 1 cup (±230 gr) all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Freshly chopped parsley
